This course is for outdoor leaders and gives training in planning, organizing, and implementing outdoor programs for children, youth, and adults. Experiences include evaluating the operations of camp, recreation and residential programs. Lab fee 8 will be assessed for this course. August 28 - December 17. An intensive back country camping course to be taught entirely in the field. It will provide the student with basic knowledge and understanding of minimal environmental impact on nature while pursuing outdoor recreational activities. Professional reading will be required prior to the trip from writers such as Thoreau, Leopold, Muir, Carson and other voices of stewardship.
